Introductions and conclusions (S2.06) In-Person
This workshop aims to improve your essay writing by exploring what makes introductions and conclusions effective. It looks at examples from a range of disciplines and provides strategies for writing effective introductions and conclusions.
By the end of this workshop you will:
1. Understand the purposes of introductions and conclusions
2. Understand what is involved in establishing the ‘significance’ of a topic
3. Be able to summarise an argument and its key stages
